Published on Friday, 24 july 2015 in Hotel
While summer is in full swing and the sun is riding high to bring you the most beautiful weather, your Hotel les Bulles de Paris offers a suggestion for an enchanting evening. You can enjoy some of the loveliest and most stirring entertainment to be found in the Paris area when you attend the evening fountains show called the Grandes Eaux in Versailles.
Birth of the gardens
It was André Le Nôtre, landscape architect and principal gardener to the court of King Louis XIV, who in 1662 began creating the Gardens of Versailles. With the help of the Francinis, a Florentine dynasty of hydraulic engineers, the work was completed four years later. The first Grandes Eaux in Versailles were inaugurated in 1666, but it was not until the early nineteenth century that they were first accompanied by music.
