On the occasion of the winter sales and Fashion Week, Paris dons her most on-trend finery to the great delight of high-end fashion enthusiasts. It all presents the perfect opportunity to discover the delights of Paris in the winter; a dream destination for shopping or attending shows featuring the more luxurious ready-to-wear collections.
The beginning of the year brings the fun of the winter sales
As happens every year, the winter sales are eagerly anticipated by all passionate fans of fashion and prêt-à-porter. From January 6th to February 16th, visitors and tourists can take advantage of significant price reductions when they do their shopping in Paris. While you take the time to discover the capital and its many renowned monuments, you can also take advantage of the winter sales to restock your wardrobe with clothes, shoes and accessories from leading brands. Wherever you see the “soldes” signs you can expect slashed prices everywhere, from the largest department stores to the humblest backstreet boutiques. The Opera, Champs Elysees, Grands Boulevards, Montmartre and other legendary neighbourhoods can all be explored during your shopping spree.
The high-end trends of fashion
At the same time as the winter sales you can also catch some of the action in Paris Fashion Week, which takes place from January 20th to 24th for men's fashion and January 24th to 29th for haute couture professionals, when the world’s most famous designers show their skills. Here’s your chance to find out first-hand what’s going to be hot in the coming season, but also to get in on the ground floor with the top designers of tomorrow, as couture creators across the city launch their newest collections. Between the shows, the Hotel les Bulles de Paris will welcome you in a warm and friendly atmosphere in the heart of the Latin Quarter, a great location for exploring the Parisian heritage.
